Hania Barreras – Colombia
Hania started practicing yoga in Nicaragua 16 years ago. However, because of her nomadic life, her practice was not so continuous at that time. She continued to practice Hatha Yoga in Acapulco with more discipline for more than two years but it was until she came to live in Los Cabos, Mexico in 2014 where he began practicing Ashtanga with Marcela Ley continuously. Her own experience, love for yoga and her teacher's soul was what led her to want to share with others the benefits of this ancient practice, which is why she made the certification in Vinyasa, Hatha and Restorative Yoga with Paola Martínez through Yoga Kendra and Yoga Alliance (ID: 186900). Her desire to learn has led her to take workshops and retreats constantly to enrich her practice. For this same reason, she looked for opportunities to practice with teachers such as: Paco Zataraín, Maria Enriquez, Onanchi Chappet and Sharmila Desai. Hania started teaching for more than a year and a half in her own Shala in Los Cabos, in Uma Yoga Sanctuary, in Manoma Wellness Center and in Las Ventanas. Then in 2017 she taught as a substitute teacher at Nomad Yoga Shala and YogAntigua until she opened her own shala at Luna Maya Hostel and Wellness. Hania moved out of La Antigua in 2018 and now returns with us as a teacher.
