WHERE: Earth Lodge, with it’s wonderful views, delicious food and peaceful surroundings is the perfect venue to journey into the essential practices of Shanta Vira Yoga with Michael J. Stewart the creator of this system of Yoga.

HOW MUCH: Q1000 for 1 1/2 days of workshops AND Saturday lunch or Q900 EARLY BIRD before January 21st.

WHAT: We will have ample time to explore the three pillars of Shanta Vira Yoga:




All the elements together take us from a deep connection to ourselves back into the world of our choosing.
This skillfully integrated practice is designed specifically to give us access to this modern age filled with possibilities. It is vital to build healthy relationships between Yoga and other aspects of our lives. Once we recognize that our practices of Yoga and our daily life are simply reflections of each other and intertwined as a whole; we then truly begin to appreciate our practices as integral to our well being, vitality and abundance that life offers.

Meet the Practice begins on Saturday with an over view of Shanta Vira Yoga. Michael will explain the essential elements of practice and then lead you into a dynamic, invigorating, krama including several key elements of Shanta Vira Yoga.

Our Saturday begins with an exploration of the physical body. This workshop will include a precise tour of the static and functional anatomy of the Pelvic and Shoulder girdles.
These are two most important structures that support the spine. The spine is the information highway of the physical, and energetic systems that make us a vibrant embodied being, it must be treated with care and utmost attention.

Our Saturday afternoon will be guided through the subtle practices. Included will be pranayama, mudras, bandas and mantras.
Once all your bodies have been awakened by the practice, you then will be led through the other two vital elements of Shanta Vira Yoga;

Creativity and Community.

Here, the practice takes us to the heart of Shanta Vira Yoga. Michael has crafted a variety of interpersonal connectivity exercises that are fun and revealing. Expect to have all your
ideas about Self, Relationship and Community to be expanded and challenged.

Our Saturday evening will be a time to experience the most revealing of all Yoga practices, Kirtan. It is one that takes you beyond concepts and linear time. It is filled with joy and surrender by passing the mind to your essential nature as an embodied divine being. In our time together you can expect to be surprised, awakened and blissed out.

All Hatha Yoga practices have within them a “warm-up” practice or preparation practice .

Many use some variation of the Surya Namaskar. In Shanta Vira Yoga it is called the Opening Practice or Sankalpa practice.
Here ALL the elements of Shanta Vira Yoga are
present and sequenced together to create a dynamic, powerful and full filing practice.
It can be used a stand alone practice or as a preparation to go further into your sadhana.

In our time together you can expect to be challenged, awakened and nurtured.
